Graphic Tees

Only a few can define streetwear better than a graphic tee. It’s universal, capable of being rocked by both men and women and, as highsnobiety, on it’s article, “Why The Graphic T-Shirt isn’t Going Anywhere”, describes it, “the most democratic garment of all time”. Highsnobiety further gave a bit of historical background, stating that graphic tees were “conceived as a working man’s shirt at the mid-century, before fashion community experimented with new printing methods, silhouettes, fabrics, and more”.

What I'm Wearing: Graphic Shirt (F&H)

Thus, this is probably one of the reasons why graphic tees are so popular-it appeals to the common people. It does not need deeper knowledge of fashion to be rocked- just wear one and….well, that’s it. You’re good to go.

Another reason is that it can be a means of self-expression. I mean, I know fashion in general is used to express oneself. However, nothing does it better, more directly and intimately than graphic shirts. Whether it’s to speak one’s mind through a statement, show one’s liking of a particular song, character, whatever else, or to express some thoughts and interests, there is always that particular shirt that can clicks-like it was made just for you.
