Varsity in Red

By this time, school year 2015-2016 has long resumed. So, it's only fitting that I post yet another school-appropriate attire to spark and inspire some idea on your everyday school outfit. While style is important, there are other things that must be kept in mind in selecting your school get up:  comfort and function.

What I'm Wearing: Baseball Cap (NYC souvenir shop), Bomber Jacket (21 Men), Shirt (Stop and Style)

First, the hat. I chose it mostly for style but it isn't entirely useless. While us students spends our days mostly inside the four corners of our classrooms, there are still times when we expose ourselves under the wide open sky, which opens the possibility of getting wet due to light drizzle or maybe even rain or of getting torched under the heat of the sun. Having something to protect us from any of these is a good thing on my book.

Second, the bomber jacket.  Universities just love setting their air conditioning units on full blast. I should know, there were plenty of times that I just found myself shivering on one corner, unable to concentrate on what was being discussed. Having something like this jacket keeps you from feeling cold while you force yourself to concentrate on that dreaded 3-hour class.

Third, the light tee. While it is true that schools love to set their aircons on full blast, there are still instances when we experience heat regardless of one's lifestyle. I guess it's inevitable considering that we're in a tropical country. In such times, don't be afraid to shed the jacket. Instead, leave that light tee flapping through the air as if you're topless in your own home.

Fourth, the rubber shoes. A student life is an active life that involves lots of walking i.e from one classroom to another, from one building to another, and even from one floor to another when the elevator is full and you're already late for the next class. Finding a really comfortable pair of shoes thus becomes imperative.
